Our bodies need sufficient amounts of water in order to adequately perform numerous vital functions. However, even less than one in five people drinks enough water.
This article will reveal the results of n experiment that examines the effects of water on our body and health.
The 42- year old mother of two children, Sarah Smith from the UK, was not consuming enough water as well. However, she suffered from numerous health issues, including frequent headaches, and poor digestion.
Therefore, she consulted medical professionals in order to solve her problems, and she was advised to increase her intake of water as a solution to both her issues.
Hence, she was determined to try this method, but also decided to document the whole process. So, her aim was to drink 3 liters of water a day for a month and see if this will be beneficial for her health.
She decided to document and photograph what happened in a self-imposed experiment whereby she would drink 3 liters, just over 5 pints, of water per day, every day for an entire month and see if she could feel any benefits.
She divided the amount of water she planned to consume in a big jug of water in the morning, another jug of water in the afternoon and the last one in the evening.
At the beginning of her experiment, Sarah looked at her face and noted “I am 42, but have to admit I look more like 52 in this picture, which is shocking.
There are dark shadows under and around my eyes, which make me look exhausted, a profusion of wrinkles and strange reddish blotches, and my skin lacks any lustre. It looks dead….even my lips look shrivelled.”
Only after a week, Sarah noticed that her urine was somehow cleansed, since the water actually stimulated the proper function of her kidneys.
Moreover, there was also a significant improvement in her bowel movement. Additionally, she found that she has several sudden skin breakouts, but they were also caused by the detoxification of toxins that was actually occurring in her entire body.
She experienced no headaches or the stiffness in her joints was greatly reduced. This is due to the fact that water acts as a lubricant for our joints.
The next week, Sarah had an improved complexion and improved skin tone. However, she still had the wrinkles around her eyes. She even noted that “they look less creepy and shadowy than before”. She still did not suffer from headaches, and she started to have a flatter belly. Moreover, her husband noticed that her cellulite has disappeared!
After the second week, her wrinkles and dark circles around the eyes were completely gone. Moreover, she looked healthy and her skin was virtually glowing in shine! She also started to eat less, and also began to distinguish her need for food and her thirst.
Therefore, as she consumed large amounts of water, she did not eat more than her stomach actually needed.
After the fourth week, Sarah admitted: “I genuinely can’t believe the difference in my face. I look like a different woman. The dark shadows around my eyes have all but disappeared and the blotches have gone. My skin is almost as dewy as it was when I was a child. The transformation is nothing short of remarkable.”
At the end of her experiment, Sarah was much fitter, leaner and more beautiful. Furthermore, she was more energetic and happier than ever before. All these benefits were obtained due to a single change in her lifestyle- she started drinking lots of water!
