This New Cinema Is Offering Double Beds Instead Of Regular Seats For An Experience Like Never Before

Reclining seats are the only thing moviegoers hate. But, a movie theater in Switzerland offers double beds to make the experience even more enjoyable. Cinema lovers like the idea of watching a movie in a comfortable and cozy bed.

But, what about the touchy people? The creator of this idea believes this concept will attract crowds that binge-watch serials on Netflix and Amazon Prime. Hygiene is an important aspect of the project, and they follow the highest standards.

People have started asking questions. Are these beds for couples only? Will people be comfortable with laying in bed and watching movies with colleagues? The VIP Bedroom opened inside the Cinema Pathé in the Swiss municipality of Spreitenback near the Swiss-German border. Going to the movies is such a popular thing now, and maybe this project will work.

Venanzio Di Bacco, CEO of Pathé Switzerland, talked about the hygiene of the place, emphasizing that the sheets will be changed after every movie. The design was tested abroad and it worked.

Moviegoers will be able to pick one of the eleven double beds in the VIP Bedroom screen. They all have headrests, and you can adjust them electronically. You can buy the tickets for $48.65, and there’s food and drink included in the price.

If you don’t like to eat or drink, you can buy regular tickets for $19.36. Cinema Pathé’s VIP area has a 350-capacity Imax cinema and a theater with single and double sofas.

The project was hit with harsh criticism, as people started warning about bed bugs and diseases, saying this is a bad idea. But, the inventor is really happy with the testing, so there won’t be any problem having other VIP Bedrooms across the country.
