Mermaid Tail Succulents Bring The Ocean Vibes Right Into Your Home

Numerous things make us enchanted by mermaids. To put it simply, it is hard not to be obsessed with them, as they are elegant, carefree, attractive, magical, and always at the beach!

But do you know that you can bring their charm at home?

Have you heard of Mermaid Tail succulents?

Succulents are ideal for busy people who keep low-maintenance plants at home. Their thick and engorged parts make it easy to adapt to life in dry areas.

Day 9 of the #succystayathomechallenge is a great day because it features one of my top succulent families- senecio!!! I just LOVE senecio❤ It is such a great companion plant to other succulents (especially echeveria) and it does so well in large planters. And the color😍 Pictured here is senecio vitalis which is typically sold as a tropical (and I winter mine inside as a houseplant) but it thrives outside in the spring/summer and definitely adds a tropical vibe 😁 What’s not to love! @succycrazy @succulentlovestory @thedaintygarden @thriftysucculents #fortheloveofsucculents #succulentmania #succulentphotography #beautifulsucculents #theplantyclub #plantsmakepeoplehappy #succulentaddict #ilovesucculents #succulentlife #senecio #bluesucculents #seneciovitalis #houseplantsofig #houseplantclub #girlswithplants #succulentgarden #succulentcollection #succulentjunkie #succugram #instasucculents #succulentsofinsta #succulovers #succulentsonly #succuholic

The Mermaid Tail succulent resembles a mermaid or a whale tail, so it will remind you of the ocean and those unforgettable summer days!

The Crested Senecio Vitalis has an exotic feel due to the subtle blue/green color and upcurved leaves. Instead of higher, it grows wider, reaching up to 2 feet in height and about 3 to 5 feet wide.

The cactus originates from the eastern cape of South Africa, so unlike most succulents, it grows in the winter and is dormant during the summer.

The mermaid cactus can be kept both, indoor and outdoor, as it is highly resistant to drought and prefers sand or well-drained soils and sunny or lightly shaded areas.

These succulents look perfect against the white walls, or as a central plant ‘eye-candy’!

So, be quick and bring those ocean vibes into your home!
