Coconut oil chocolate: The best metabolism-boosting snack you can make

  • 3/4 cup coconut oil
  • 6 tbsp raw cocoa
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • dash of salt

Melt the oil if you prefer. Combine all the ingredients together and stir well. Pour the mixture into molds, about a tablespoon each. You can also use an ice cube tray. Keep your chocolate in the fridge or the freezer. Let it cool for 10-15 minutes.

Studies have shown that coconut oil is one of the most efficient metabolism-boosting foods out there. Consume coconut oil to raise your body temperature and metabolic rate by a full degree within a week. It is super-healthy and amazing!

“Coconut oil is renowned for its ability to assist with metabolic rate and body heat, but any source of coconut will do. The medium-chain saturated fatty acids seem to be the active warming ingredient. Coconut is of course very calorie dense with a low water content, and cooking foods in oil of any kind increases the calorie to water ratio [to create a warming effect from your foods].”  Eat for Heat, Matt Stone
