Golden milk
This miraculous mixture is done in two phases. Initially, you should prepare a turmeric paste, which would be later used with other ingredients in the preparation of the golden milk.
Phase 1 – A paste of turmeric
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup filtered water
- 1/4 cup turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
Preparation:
In a small cooking pot, mix all the above ingredients and stir well. Turn heat to medium and mix constantly until the mixture becomes a thick paste. Do not leave the pot on the stove since this process does not last long. Allow the mixture to cool and then keep it in a small jar in the fridge.
Phase 2 – Golden milk
Ingredients:
- 1 teaspoon of coconut oil
- 1/4 teaspoon or more paste of turmeric
- Honey
- 1 cup almond milk
Note: You can also use hemp or coconut milk as a substitute to the almond milk, or naturally domestic cow milk, as recommended by Ayurveda.
Preparation:
In a cooking pot, mix all ingredients except the honey. Turn heat to medium and constantly stir while heating, but do not let it boil. The honey is added to taste.
