Ayurveda treatments and therapies are something you should include into your lifestyle habits. Your daily routines include brushing your teeth, taking a shower, exercising and eating. According to Ayurveda, you should also do certain activities each day.
This is referred to as “Din Charya” or Day-to-Day Routine. Certain Din Charya activities have been neglected and set aside. “Pada Abhyangam,” a special foot massage, is one of these techniques.
Foot massage
Focus on simple practices and include them in your daily routine, although there are many different massaging techniques.
You can use homemade ghee (clarified butter), olive oil, sesame oil, mustard oil, coconut oil or any other relaxation oil of your choice. Cow ghee is considered to be the best alternative.
Instructions:
Rub a few drops of the oil you have chosen onto your feet.
According to historical records, rubbing the flat side of a small metal bowl (bell metal)against your feet is the best solution.
Rub it gently in both directions for 2-10 minutes. Repeat the massage on both feet. Rinse with warm water.
You can massage your feet whenever you prefer, but you will sure get some optimal results if you do it before bedtime.
