8 Impossible To Kill Plants That Clean The Air In Your Home

It has been statistically shown that people in the U.S. spend 90% ofter time indoors.

This is actually not good, especially if we consider the pollution inside the office or home. Due to all this, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency claimed that indoor air pollution to be one of the five biggest environmental risks for our health.

This made Kamal Meattle investigate whether there is an effective way to purify the air inside our homes of offices. His findings suggested three common houseplants, which, if placed properly, will effectively and significantly improve the quality of the air inside.

His study discovered a way to place the following plants on specific areas in the house and thus successfully filter the air:

“The Bedroom Plant” or Mother-in-Law’s Tongue- He advises that you plant 6-8 waist-high plants per person since it produces high amounts of oxygen during the night.

The “Living Room Plant” or Areca Palm-According to  him, you should plant 4 shoulder-height plants per person as it produces oxygen during the day.

“The specialist Plant” or Money Plant- This remarkable plant purifies the air from formaldehyde and other harmful organic chemicals.

Despite these 3, 5 more plants have been found to be are extremely effective in enhancing the air inside, including English ivy, Asparagus fern, variegated wax plant, the Purple Heart plant and  the purple waffle plant.

Furthermore, NASA recommends that you plant at least one house plant on every 100 square feet in your home. Yet, this plant should be a bit larger, grown in a 6 to 8-inch diameter container.
