63-Year-Old Model Stuns the World, Shares Her Secrets to Graceful Aging

We all know that age is just a number, and the 63-year-old swimsuit model Yazemeenah Rossi proves it.  This healthy and strong woman is an example of natural beauty that inspires numerous women all around the world.

When she was ten, her hair started changing color, and a decade later, it turned silver. Yet, she struggled with her agents and kept her natural hair color, which complements her beauty.

She “always thought it was a gift…[She’s] someone who likes to be simple.”

Yazemeenah was born in France and raised in Corsica. She was the oldest of three children, raised by her grandparents. The family didn’t have running water or electricity until she was 10, and money was in short supply. Yet, she remembers:  “we had everything we needed, provided by nature.”

According to The Uppers:

“Rossi began modeling in her late 20s, but she was well into her 50s before major fashion labels began to hire her. Still, people outside of the fashion world didn’t recognize her name until a few years ago, when BoredPanda ran a story titled “59-Year-Old Grandmother Still Going Strong as a Fashion Model.” That article, which showcased self-portraits and photos of Rossi from various fashion campaigns over the last 20 years, nearly broke the Internet. It’s a perfect example that it’s never too late to start living your dreams!”

Both, young girls and older women, adore her gray hair and wrinkle-free skin, and she represents a real symbol of eternal youth.

Now, she shares some of her secrets that will help you ensure a healthy body and life at any age.  She says that it is very important to do what you love in life, and approach things with positivity:

“I will model until the end of my life. But it’s not about modeling, it’s about witnessing, witnessing the beauty, energy makes us alive. It’s [about] enjoying every day, more and more. It’s like my heart is going to explode every morning.”

When it comes to her diet, she adores avocados and eats them daily, since they are full of nutrients. She avoids frozen, processed, and microwaved foods, and focuses on fresh organic foods like “vegetables, fruits, nuts, and some good quality fish and meats.”

Even though we are nowadays being convinced that numerous products offered on the market can finally make our skin healthy, wrinkle-free, and radiant, she says:

“I come from a very simple background where we used olive oil to cook with. Olive oil was used on our hair and skin – nothing else. The media makes us believe that we need this or that to have great skin so that products can be sold. They will never say, in fact, the skin has an ability to produce its own protection. There are no beauty products I couldn’t live without as I can always find what I need anywhere.”

The only product she uses for her skin and hair is olive oil. She rubs it on the body and face and uses non-GMO rapeseed oil for the hair.

She adds:

“The best thing for the skin is to eat enough healthy fats on a daily basis and to oxygenate well while exercising. Walking and sweating are [also] great for your skin because it’s our biggest breathing organ.”

She says that no one can change instantly, as habits are difficult to break, but a healthy life requires efforts and determination.

“It won’t happen in a day. It requires discipline and dedication. You need a healthy spirit and a curious mind.”

She also says that “it’s not all about being 20 and 5’10”. We’re bored of that. We are all different ages and sizes and that’s the beauty of it. We’re real women.”

As a conclusion, Yazemeenah admits:

“Aging is an organic, natural process that I have no power over — unless you count the power of letting go. … I have no time to spend on a struggle. Resistance won’t change anything, and it could even make the process worse. And then I would lose my glow.“

Also,

“it’s not fun to see your skin going down and becoming less toned but the nice, fascinating side of aging gives you a strong feeling of inner power totally unknown before.”
